Paintball Gear & Equipment
All UKPBA approved paintball fields hold players’ safety as their utmost priority and accordingly will issue you with purpose-built paintball gear and equipment.
On a standard day at any of our accredited paintball locations, you can expect to have access to the following top of the range paintball equipment:
Goggles
Your most important and essential piece of equipment. The face mask must be a either a goggle covering a minimum of the eyes and face, fastened around the head with a band or the ‘peanut shell’ or full head mask offering a complete protection of the entire face and back of head.
There are various models in use throughout United Kingdom. The UKPBA recommends all children under the age of 16 be issued with the full head mask to offer additional protection. Your face mask will be worn at all times during the paintball games unless you are in safe zone of the base camp where no markers are present.
Paintball Marker
The specific model of paintball marker varies by location, but most professional operators utilize semi-automatic equipment. To ensure player safety, every marker must undergo rigorous velocity testing to comply with national safety regulations. While the Tippmann 98 and the more advanced MK 2 have historically been the industry standards, many venues are now transitioning to .50 caliber markers. These modern markers are significantly lighter and more accurate, providing a more agile experience on the field. Premier providers like Delta Force Paintball have already adopted this .50 caliber technology as their new standard. For those seeking a competitive edge, some centers also offer premium marker upgrades.
To fire the paintballs, markers are equipped with a canister of either CO2 or compressed air, which is professionally attached by field staff before games begin. Compressed air has become the preferred propellant because it offers stable, consistent pressure regardless of the outside temperature, making it the more reliable and environmentally friendly choice. While still in use, CO2 is highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations, which can lead to inconsistent firing pressures in varying weather conditions.

Body Armour
For maximum confidence on the field, players are equipped with specialized body armor that provides comprehensive protection for the chest and back. This lightweight yet durable layer is designed to absorb the impact of incoming shots, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the action without worrying about the sting of a hit. By significantly reducing the sensation of impact, this armor ensures that players of all experience levels can focus on strategy and gameplay with total peace of mind.
